Against Clairville Stadium Proposed Closure

Thank you for your petition relating to Clairville Stadium. By way of explanation of the proposals, the long term proposal is to sell Clairville and using the income, along with other funds, to develop a 21st century sporting village at Prissick. As plans for Prissick are developed further then details will be made public. Athletics is what sets Clairville apart from other venues locally and so athletics is a feature of what is currently being planned at Prissick, along with many other sports facilities. It is intended that the creation of the sporting village will bring sports facilities together to provide a better offer to the community as well as economies in running costs.
